Default Skill point returns?

If I buy a skill, then later do a quest that would have awarded me the skill, do I get the skill point back to spend on something else?

If I switch secondary professions, do I get the skill points back that I spent on the former profession?

Thanks!

Don't worry too much about it. Skill points become much easier to get as you learn the game more. The fewer people in your party, the more exp you get, the more often you will get skill points.

You don't ever get skill points back.

Buying skills for a secondary profession isn't a waste though. Later, when you can switch your secondary, you'll still be able to switch back as often as you like. Say you were W/Mo and bought/quested some Monk skill rewards. Later you change to W/R. If/when you change back to W/Mo, you still have all the monk skills you had before.

And yeah, skill points only seem like a limiting factor until you've played a while on that same character. Then they start to pile up and just seem ... embarrassing.
